Wat Mahathat

From  Artifactsand the style of the Pagoda, we believe that Wat Maha That was built before theAyutthaya Period or around the 14th Century. One of the images which wasexcavated by the Fine Art Department was a Buddha Image in the Sitting Attitude(sitting with drop down legs). This image belonged to the Lopburi Period. ThePagodas are from the Bayon Style or Bayon Period (compared to Khmer culture)which are built with laterite.

Wat Naphra Mane

From evidence, we believe Wat Na Phra Mane was built in1504. When Ayutthaya was collapsed for the second time, all the Temples,Palaces and most of the City were destroyed, but Wat Na Phra Mane survived. WatNa Phra Mane contains the most complete Works of Art from the Ayutthaya Period,especially the Image in the mainshrine.

Chapel Hall

The Chapel Hall of Wat Na Phra Mane is one of thelargest in Ayutthaya, which contains a total of 9 rooms (most Wats were only 3or 5 rooms). The Temple is facing the Lopburi River and the foundation of Hallis the shape of Chinese junk. Walking around the Hall you will spot the wallsof the hall which have no windows. It just has cut out spaces to allow naturallight to shine through and for the air to circulate. These are called"Balusters".

Lental

The Lental of Wat Na Phra Mane is a wood-carving in theimage of the Deity Vishnu mounted on Garuda and surrounded with 22 Cherubs.

Wat Lokayasutharam

The origins of this Wat are unknown. The temple holdsone of the outdoor Reclining Buddha images which was built during The Early Periodof the Ayutthaya region.
