Nepal Tourist VISA Information
1. Valid Passport which should remain valid atleast for six months from the date of entry into Nepal.
2. Visa Year : January - December
3. A. Visa fees :
a. First visit, single entry, 60 days, US$ 30.00
b. Second visit within 150 days of the same visayear, single entry, 30 days, US$50.00
B. Re-entry fees:
a. Single: US$25.00
b. Double: US$40.00
c. Multiple: US$60.00
4. Tourist visa may also be obtained at any ofthe following gentry points:
TribhuvanInternational Airport, Kathmandu; Biratnagar (Jogbani), Birgunj (Raxaul), Bhairahawa (Sunauli) and Kakarbhitta(Panitanki) on Nepal-India border and Kodari on Nepal China border.
5. Visitors desirous of staying more than 60days in Nepal can extend their tourist visa from Depart of Immigration bypaying Nepalese currency equivalent to US$50.00 for 30 days.
6. Business visa with multiple entries for oneyear and five years can be obtained from the Department of Immigration on therecommendation of the Ministry of Industry. The business visa fee will beUS$100.00 and US$250.00 or their equivalent in Nepalese currency, for one andfive years, respectively.
7. Children aged 10 years orolder carrying separate passports or endorsed on their parents will be charged visafee as above. There will be no charge for children under 10 years. However,visa is required.
8. Visaonce issued cannot be withdrawn, visa fee cannot be refunded, and it must beused within six months from the date of issue.
9. Trekkingpermit is not required for trekking areas, such as Everest, the Annapurna andthe Langtang, but for others permits may be obtained from ImmigrationDepartment, Kathmandu, Nepal.
10. Tourists travelling by car should possess avalid Passage de Carnet.
